I love Peru and I love Peruvians, but you cannot love someone without knowing the good, the bad and the, well… this kind of thing. I don’t know how many times I have been in a taxi reversing on a one way street, but the taxi driver felt justified since his headlights were still pointed in the direction indicated. This is a real news story that was not doctored. Enjoy

I would like to laugh at this dangerous move, but one time I did the same thing in Philadelphia when I get caught in a traffic jam at the airport exit ramp off of I95 during a rush hour accident clog. If I had waited, I would have missed the last plane to Orlando. So, I pulled to the side strip, put it in reverse and backed out the eqivilant of about three blocks, much to the amazement of the three passengers in my rental car. Others followed my example and before long, the entire ramp seemed to empty itself out in reverse. All I can say is, my headlights were facing in the correct direction.
