Sometimes on a mission trip, we do not find ministry where we might expect itñ like a planned activity.
During lunch on Saturday, a shoe shine boy came in to the place where we were eating. He went to work on the shoes of Jose, a missionary to prisoners based in Georgia. Jose will be working inside of the prisons this week, both in Acapulco and in Chilpancingo an hour or so away in the mountains.
The shoeshine boy went to work and so did Jose! By the end of their time, Jose had a shiny pair of shoes and the young man had a shiny new life. For a long time, he continued to work and cry as he heard the good news that he could have forgiveness and follow Christ.
Jose has not even been to the prison yet, but a prisoner has been set free. Pray for our advance team on Sunday morning as we will be preaching in different churches and maybe in a cafe or two.

Awesome news, Christ is preparing hearts!
That is an amazing story, Chip. Thanks for sharing it. José was in the right place at the right time and willing to see a need and speak for Christ. God bless you as you go. . . .
